Haley Tolman, LCSW

“I use a strengths-based, and non-judgemental approach to help individuals find healing guided by their comfort level. I encourage curiosity and internal exploration of each person, while also looking at the influence of their external environment on their wellbeing. I enjoy helping my clients reach their goals, connect to their authentic self, and move forward from difficult experiences.”

Are you looking to go deeper than talking about your problems and learning coping skills? Maybe you’ve been to therapy before and learned helpful tools, but you still find yourself experiencing the same unwanted reactions and responses. You’re frustrated with repeating the same patterns and wonder why you can’t “just figure it out.” You try to be self-aware and have a desire to heal, but instead you feel frustrated and overwhelmed. If this sounds like you, my approach to therapy could be a good fit for you.

I specialize in going beyond talk therapy to get to the root of the problem. I help you move from thinking about your problems and managing your reactions, to connecting with your feelings and developing compassion for where they come from. I create space for the parts of you that you might see as “bad” and “negative,” and can guide you through a process to gain clarity on your internal experience.

My specialties include anxiety, complex trauma, PTSD, and relationship challenges. I enjoy working with highly sensitive people, women, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals from various faiths and spiritual backgrounds.

I’m an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist who utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and mindfulness as my primary modalities. I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Boston College and my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from Utah State University.
